New online course project

The team here has been working on a new project called Early Learning Florida- an online system designed to be accessible to a group of students who previously haven't had much experience in online learning. The system is being used to train practitioners to provide care and instruction to Florida's younger children in different contexts such as daycare or preschool.

The program is still in its infancy, but the goal is to provide an experience that's intuitive and seamless. We've got a few bells and whistles like in-course notes, chatting with the instructor, and a gradebook that is accessible without ever having to leave your course screen.

This is an exciting challenge for the office. We're helping other colleges use the systems we've been using for over a year now and getting feedback on what works and doesn't work.

So if you hear the terms Early Learning Florida or AWI, we're referring to this new project that will help us further design and refine online learning to be the best that it can be.
